Blu-ray disc is widely accepted by video enthusiasts for its efficiency and video quality. However, enjoying Blu-ray on Mac seems tasting the forbidden fruit. Those familiar with Mac OS X are probably aware of the platform’s major flaw when it comes to media playback: there’s no official Blu-ray support. Despite many requests for it to be supported, Steve Jobs has long dismissed it as a “bag of hurt”, and therefore no Mac ships with Blu-ray drives or Blu-ray playback software. Macgo Mac Blu-ray Player is aiming at changing all that but we didn’t hear much about it. But don’t fret! Despite lack of official support, we can still use Blu-ray on the Mac. It just takes a few more steps than on a Windows machine and we need to get some help from the third-party software.
